This year I have decided to improve some of my cooking skills and to make delicious French-style macaroons happen. Personally, the thought of making French macarons had always seemed frightening to me because they come off as being so chic and delicate. Speaking of last year, my cooking trial was a total disaster due to my little knowledge of the cooking process and some bad choices I made with the ingredients. This year everything seemed different: One secret ingredient made me realize that the macaroon recipe and the cooking process are relatively simple.
Obviously, I spent one of my weekends ‘rehearsing’ a bit in my kitchen before making the major family Holiday batch. As a result, I’ve proudly put on the table a dozen of colorful, tasty macaroons, feeling victorious at the same time. Indeed, “practice makes perfect”; my macaroons this year looked and tasted just the way I dreamed. What was my secret?
I attribute my partial success with baking my macaroons to the Japanese gluten-free white rice powder and rice flour Komeko that I decided to use this year. It appeared to me that adding gluten-free white rice flour or using it as a primary ‘ flour’ ingredient did the trick, while the rest of the cooking recipe remained standard. The food components that I mainly used were as follows, the total prep / cook time-30 min, servings-12 macaroons:

Meeting the Komeko brand’s ambassadors in person at one of the Food Trade Shows, making a connection with their Marketing Team, who introduced their products to me, gave me a clue about the superior quality of the product and the brand. Japanese premium gluten-free Komeko products are great for cookies, pastries, desserts, bread, deep-frying, and tempura. Healthy, with low oil absorbency, their rice flour or powder does not clump, contains no gluten, so it rinses away easily.
Processed with unique technologies, this delicate product seems easy to manage. The final dish looks appetizing and has a great taste. Whether it is a tempura rice flour, or Komeko rice flour or mixes, all are worth trying in your recipes. I feel that all the food that I baked with Komekoseemed natural and were a delightful addition to my meals.
