While the summer is in full swing, the colder seasons are coming, and my skincare routine is switching along with them. I figured that collecting various organic, sustainable, or functional cosmetic and beauty products would be a wise thing to do. Caring for the skin is an essential part of sustaining wellness and a beautiful appearance. ‘Staggering Skincare Products that Roar’- is my review of the Brands that committed to quality, sustainability, and high performance.
Do you know what ingredients are in your skincare? Is it your custom to read the labels of each skincare product before purchasing it ? In this article I mostly share about natural skin-care items that are free from chemicals, sulfates, and other harmful ingredients. You will hear about my experience in testing some products of various brands that I recently received for my reviewing. The Brands represented in this article include: Biossance, ReVive, The Skin Republic, The Nature Republic, Missha, and some other I admire.
Our Skin
Our skin is our largest organ. It covers the entire body and has a surface area of around two square meters. It will be beneficial if we purchase mostly the products that won’t infuse too many chemicals into our bodies through our skin. Typically, human skin consists of three layers: the epidermis, the dermis, and the subcutaneous tissue. The epidermis is the outer layer, which undergoes constant renewal; every 28 days, all cells are turned over as the most superficial cells are replaced by new ones. There are specific ways to help this process happen, which will benefit healthy skin regrowth and supplementation.
What Questions to Ask Before Purchasing Your Skincare Product?
What is your daily beauty routine? Can our skin benefit from creams that contain harmful ingredients ? Do you consider face-masks and skincare ‘creams’ made from organic and natural food products as a skin revitalizing “supplement”?
Regardless of the answers you have for all these questions, there is one particular idea will unite them all. Continue reading about some quality skincare items that I’ve tried and kept in my cosmetic purse during the summer 2020.
Biossance
All Biossance formulations are developed in a ‘My Green Lab Platinum Certified Facility‘. The Lab is committed to reducing the environmental impact with every product they offer. The latest Biossance innovation is one of my favorites. The Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream pairs the power of marine algae and para-cress extract for maximum performance. When I used this cream for the first time, I was amazed with the beautiful result after my only two applications. The delicate skin under my eyes got much smoother. Prompting a visibly lifted look and reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, cream delivers long-lasting hydration and creates the perfect foundation for makeup. What I saw in the mirror convinced me to continue using the cream for the next couple of weeks at least.

The beauty and skin-care line ReVive is not new on the market. Inspired by Nobel Prize-winning technology, this Brand acquired a reputation of a luxury brand that delivers quality and superior performance. It connects with its customers by being at the top of its class and the best in its field.
My Favorite ReVive Products
There are many iconic ReVive face-care products I can recommend. But I consider my favorite Moisturizing Renewal Cream and ReVive Moisturizing Serum are superior to most of them. They totally change the way your skin behaves. Both products leave your skin moist and generously nurtured just after the first couple of applications. These products didn’t lift the skin on my face. However, salty ingredients found in the formula made my skin tighten and feel fresh and smooth. The components of products rapidly smooth the appearance of fine lines, and they deeply nurture the dehydrated skin damaged by sun.
Serum, in my opinion, is a powerful tool to keep your skin well-maintained and nurtured . Apply the generous amount of Serum on your face before night time and after washing your face with your favorite plant-based scrub. If you have a normal-to dry skin, slightly damaged by the sun, I would recommend applying a nurturing facial mask made of natural ingredients, prior to applying the ReVive Serum or a Cream. This step will make your skin well fed, while Serum will tighten the pores of your skin and deliver long-lasting moisture.
The best ingredients for face masks are always organic and made with ingredients you can find in your fridge! The Powerful Duo
The powerful duo- Moisturizing Cream and Serum makes your skin feel fresh and radiant. The skin glows naturally throughout the day without additional applications. The only downfall of the products is their price, as the price varies from $150-$600 per item. As a luxury beauty products, they might be slightly expensive for a typical customer, especially now, during the Pandemic. But I believe that having a couple of ReVive products in your purse won’t break your bank. Applying these scientifically-proven creams along with other natural lotions might save you from going to pricy beauty salons, or cosmetic surgeons. I might add more ReVive items to my collection just to make sure I won’t miss out on important innovations.

Pink Clay Mud Sheet Mask
Revolutionary Mess-free Mud Mask, combines the convenience of a nurturing sheet mask with the cleansing properties of a mud mask. I would recommend to use this mask 2-3 times per week, combining the routine with other sheet masks and oils of your choice, as well as applications of easy homemade masks. After 10-15 minutes of use the Mud Sheet mask begins to dry, drawing out dirt and impurities from the skin’s pores. “Purifying pink Clay helps soothe skin and absorb toxins without over drying. Rich in antioxidants, goji berries and white mulberries the mask helps fight against free radicals which cause premature aging.”
Collagen Hydrogel Under Eye Patch (3 Pairs)
The Collagen Hydrogel Under Eye Patch has collagen, green tea, aloe vera and vitamins A and E among its ingredients. The package has three pairs of patches, therefore 2-3 packages will supply you for about a week of beauty care. In my practice, 7-10 applications of Under Eye Patches was enough to witness a significant improvement of the skin. I used them throughout the day at home or while gardening in the backyard. It was convenient to place them under my eye glasses while I was working on my writing or marketing projects. To my surprise, I noticed that I extended the given time for using the patches, and wore them for longer with comfort and easiness.
The patches help target five eye-area. They reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, loss of elasticity and firmness, puffiness, dark circles and dryness. Wether your are 35 or 65 ears old, an intensive under eye treatment helps reduce the visible signs of aging, dullness, and dryness of the skin. Highly recommended for all ages and genders.
Seaweed Hydrogel Face Mask
The Seaweed Hydrogel Face Mask is a superpower Mineral-rich hydrogel sheet mask that contains Laminaria Japonica extract, Chamomile, and Peony Flowers. It soothes the skin and contributes to a more youthful and luminous complexion. Seaweed is packed with anti-aging actives which enhance skin cell regeneration restoring lost elasticity and suppleness. The Mask promotes collagen production and it supercharges the skin cells. I would recommend using it at least once a week in addition to other plant-based masks of your choice.
Other Skin-Care Products You Might need to Consider
Other skincare products that suit my taste are Korean-based sunblocks made by The Nature Republic and beauty products and highly moisturizing coverup creams made by Missha. Missha’s products combine skincare and makeup in one step for a flawless foundation. The ‘M Perfect Cover BB Cream’, for instance, delivers great coverage and sun protection, adding brightness and freshness to your skin.
Products from both lines are great for traveling and they significantly helped me during the summer. The Nature Republic’s sun-care products are superior in quality as they protect you from both A&B UV light waves. The texture of their sun-block creams are smooth, and easily absorbed by the skin. They don’t leave heavy or greasy spots on your face or the body. There is a limited fragrance added to the sun-block creams, so during the summer’s hot days it helps you maintain fresh and vibrant look in addition to mostly aroma-free appearance. The Brand offers fantastic body and hair care products, and a great variety of relevant self-care products for everyday use.
What is the difference between American and Korean Sunscreen?
Most Korean sunscreens tend to be lighter in consistency and easier to apply, making it highly preferable for consumers. Korean brands use the PA (Protection Grade of UVA rays) system, which measures UVA exposures, in addition to SPF, which measures UVB exposure. I found that often Korean sunscreen products combine makeup and sunscreen features in one. They make a great foundation that go along with most of the cosmetic products you may apply to your face or store in your beauty cabinets.
The natural, organic, and plant based masks everyone can make at home- Recipe
Here, I want to share a recipe of a simple facial mask. I often use it at night before applying the products that I have described in this review.
Who doesn’t love summer? I certainly do! But for me, spending some time outside on a sunny day has some negative effects too. No matter how much sunscreen we put, if the temperature is in 94′-96′ our skin dehydrates rapidly. If your skin type is normal-to-dry, here is the beauty routine that can protect your skin from losing some elasticity.
Ingredients:
2 Tb Spoon of Farmer’s Cheese ( Organic/ Amish)
1 Egg Yolk / Organic
1/2 Mashed Banana / Organic
1 Tb Spoon of Honey / Organic
Make it Easy- Your Step-by-Step Evening Beauty Ritual
Wash your face well with your favorite Exfoliating Scrub or a good quality Face Soap. I prefer the CLINIQUE brand for my face washing -‘cleaning rituals.’ After washing your face, mix all the ingredients of the mask well and apply the mix on your face and neck. Keep it for about 15 min. Wash it well with a warm or cold water.
Use the Face Soap again, if needed, to leave your face skin nurtured, but not oily. Making some home-made masks can be a bit messy, but the result won’t disappoint you. The Farmer Cheese application brightens the skin, while honey and banana deliver moisture and vitamins needed for skin elasticity. Egg yolk has the omega-3 that is crucial for skin rejuvenation. Above all, the ingredients are natural, and used by our ancestors for similar causes for centuries.
After your finished with mask, apply the ReVive Moisturizing Serum and the Skin Republic Eye Patches. Keep patches on your face for another 15 minute, or more. When your Eye patches have expired, and the Serum is well absorbed, finish your ritual with the application of the ReVive Moisturizing Night Cream.
You can try to combine two of your favorite masks at once instead. Apply them in turns: one commercial and one home-made mask for a greater result! Meditate, listen to the calming music, and make time for a good night sleep.
Next Morning
Next morning, wash your face well enough to remove all the remaining cream and impurities. Use the Biossance Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream and one of the Skin Republic’ face masks as your ‘Good Morning’ beauty ritual. Don’t forget to apply your favorite sunscreen before leaving your home.
